Raffaela Raab · Doctor & animal rights activist

Animals are not products.

I want us to stop exploiting animals. In street conversations, talks and interviews I explain why we should live vegan. The focus is on the animals: sentient individuals with interests of their own.

Why I stand up
for animals

Pig, cow or dog: what matters to me is the individual animal and its interest in not being exploited or killed. That is why I campaign for veganism. To me, veganism is not a diet but the decision to stop using animals for our purposes in every area of life.

I talk about it where the topic usually doesn’t come up: on the street, on talk shows and on social media. That this polarises is something I accept on purpose, because it makes people think about the question who otherwise never would. If you want to know more afterwards, you’ll find background, everyday guides and a community further down to help you live vegan and get active yourself.

More about me and my work

I was working as a doctor when I realised that the animals we call “farm animals” are just as sentient as my patients. At the end of 2020 I went vegan and started street activism straight away. Since August 2021 I have been sharing these conversations as “Die militante Veganerin” (The Militant Vegan) on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch and Rumble. Together with Tobias Neuschulte (Der Veganist) I founded NVSINO: we organise sign demos, make videos and offer guides and material for getting started.

A talk or workshop at your school

Would you like to talk about animal rights and veganism at your school? Request a talk, a workshop or a conversation by video call. When it’s about education, I’ll come without a fee too. All you need to do is apply briefly: tell me who you are, why you want to invite me and what the visit should achieve. A short video is optional.

  • Talk or workshop for your class or year group
  • Video call with Q&A, wherever you are
  • School project: interview for a paper or the school newspaper
Important: I record every event. I record talks, workshops, video calls and school projects and publish them on my channels. I can only accept a request if you agree to this.
